Clarke Law Attorney Included In National Bar Association 40 Under 40

June 9, 2016, 2016. When the National Bar Association, (NBA) announced their “40 Under 40” award recipients, Otanya Clarke from Clarke Law LLC was among the 40 recipients of this prestigious award. The purpose of these awards is to reward and bring recognition to lawyers under the age of 40 who have excelled in their profession as a lawyer. To qualify, they must have demonstrated achievements in their profession including advocacy, vision, innovation, leadership, and community involvement.

Benjamin Crump, who is the president of the National Bar Association gave statements expressing his appreciation that despite an increase of demands faced by today’s lawyers to seek not only social justice but to lead economic advancements, every recipient of the 40 Under 40 awards can do their part to bring uniqueness to their chosen profession. He further expressed his pleasure that award winners prove that the practice of law has a future to look forward to and that he and others within the group are always proud to recognize these individuals. This year brings a Reunion Weekend which will allow current and previous recipients of this award to meet as the 2016-2017 Class is added to the distinguished ranks.

Narrowing down the hundreds of nominees is a rigorous job, according to Chair of the 40 Under 40 Awards Chair Aubrey “Nick” Pittman. A panel charged with reviewing the hundreds on the list narrows them down to the 40 most deserving of the award. Those who were selected will be honored on Monday, July 18th, 2016 at the National Bar Association Awards Gala, which will be held during the association’s 91st annually held convention, located in St. Louis, MO.

The Black-Tie Awards Gala will feature the 40 award winners, who represent a broad range of legal professionals. Those from small, medium and large firms are among the finalists, with those from all kinds of different legal backgrounds. Their uniting features are their excellence in using their degrees to provide meaningful impacts to their communities and their profession. Along with the 40 Under 40 awards will also be recognitions given to those who have been named Nation’s Best Advocate of the Year, and the Excellence in Leadership, Service, Activism, and Innovation award winner.
